Day’s Fine Jewelry has built a new website! We now feature Jewelry Unique, with creations by Lorin and Ginger Jones. Lorin and Ginger Jones have been in the business of designing and servicing fine Jewelry for over 30 years now. It all started when Lorin found that he had a love for the art of jewelry design and creation in a high school jewelry class. That love was rediscovered a few years later when he found his true love, Ginger Lynne Hamblin, and decided to make her engagement ring. Soon after they were married they both started their career in the jewelry business working for various jewelry stores in the greater Phoenix area. This gave them a lot of unique experiences and expert training in all aspects of the jewelry business. They quickly became focused on the design, creation and service of fine Jewelry.
Early on in his career Lorin was asked by someone, he respected as a jeweler, what kind of jeweler do you want to be? His response was, I want to be able to do everything. Not that I will do anything asked of me, but I don’t want to be handed something that needs to be fixed or built or designed and I have to say “I don’t know how to do that”. Following the advice given by his senior co-worker and being trained, for more than 12 years, by some of the top designers, Craftsmen and women in the industry. Lorin was given the opportunity to test his talent by entering design and craftsmanship competitions. After winning in Arizona State competition he went on to win 3 national competitions as well and then several more State competitions.
After that, Lorin said, “I believe I am at the point my career that I can honestly make whatever a person can dream up, if it is physically possible. And sometimes if it’s not we can figure out a way to make it so.” Ginger, after her experiences with some jewelry stores gained a real feel for how to help customers, more importantly how not to treat them. You can see that the golden rule is firmly in her way of thinking when you get a chance to talk with her.
